Mac/OSX G5 Builds
We have a PowerMac G5 1.8 Ghz that we've used to build code and
compiler optimized Firefox Release builds. At the moment, we only have
a Release 1.0.7 Release build available and a 1.5 Release Candidate 3 available. Future plans include
more code optimizations, and Camino builds.
Our Mac/OSX builds are built on Panther but should run on Tiger as well.
We will focus on G5 builds as there are other Third-Party/Unofficial Builders that build for G3 and G4 processors.
The Firefox build(s) are standard installer builds.

Code Changes for 1.0.7 Builds
Required patches for
my Mac/OSX builds can generally be found at http://www.vector64.com/Mozilla/Firefox/Patches/OSX.
The current set of patches for the 1.5 series are in regards to:
- nsId.h to get rid of two unneeded compares in a routine
that gets
used a lot. My anecdotal evidence is that these two compares are not
needed now though they might be needed in the future.
- nsUnitConversion.h to use a faster assembler conversion
routine from floating point to integer.
- The code change in Bug 121414 which speeds up Javascript
processing.
- The code change in Bug 316879 which speeds up Javascript
processing.
- jmorecfg.h and nsJPEGDecoder.cpp changes to use IFAST IDCT
JPEG processing instead of ISLOW.
